End-of-Trip Reflections:
  1. How is the Taiwanese culture shaped? What are the historical events that shaped its culture? It is a blend of Confucianist Han Chinese and Taiwanese aborigines cultures. Taiwanization in 1974, is one of the most important symbols of shaping its culture as it has changed the history, development and culture of the country.
  2. How does science and technology impact the Taiwanese lifestyle? It has allowed the country to brace for their frequently changing and unpredictable weather and earthquakes, and has also allowed them to explore different sources of energy for electricity, making their energy greener and cleaner. It has also allowed their citizens to learn more about science, technology and astronomy through their parks, observatories, aquariums, etc. All these has helped have changed their lifestyle as they have learnt and use them to apply in their real lives.
  3. What is the importance of science education in relation to the technological/economical progress of a country? Explain. The teaching of science education to their citizens in schools, museums, aquariums and others will allow them to know more about science and the world, improving their scientific knowledge. They will then thus use this to help further improve their scientific development. It may also help them brace for the worst as it will help them prepare for disasters through the observing and predicting of weather, use of earthquake instruments and other related things and also through other ways too. It will also help them learn about what is going around the country, globe and universe and hence science education has helped in the progress of a country.
